Spring is here, with winter just passing - and we're excited to get the garden and in full swing with new projects including rebuilding many of our planters and adding fresh soil at the garden!
New and old volunteers, fresh soil to be delivered by NYC GreenThumb. We are preparing fresh planting projects and activities! Volunteers are welcome! Sign up here!
The Newkirk Community Garden is a small space with a big mission: to bring neighbors together to grow healthy food and native flora, build community, encourage healthy ecosystems, and care for and celebrate our neighborhood.
WHAT'S GROWING?
Check our our photos on Facebook and Instagram! There are herbs and other edible plants in the planters on the sidewalk, which everyone is welcome to snip and use 24/7. If you would like to grow plants for your own use, you can consider volunteering!
